Dury Loveridge
Orchestral Cellist
Dury has performed across the UK and internationally with orchestras. He has performed in almost all of the UK's major concert halls. He has also performed with orchestras on TV, Radio, taken part in recording sessions of both classical repertoire and soundtracks.
Dury has been lucky enough to work with many of the world's leading conductors, including Sir Paul Daniel, Tadaki Otaka, Sir Barry Wordsworth, Sakari Oramo, Christoph Von Dohnanyi, Simone Young, Paul Kildea, Richard Eggar, Oliver Knussen, Philip Ellis and many others.
Dury's orchestral studies took place at the Birmingham Conservatoire, before spending a number of years performing with the Britten-Pears Orchestra in Suffolk, with regular performances as part of the Aldeburgh Festivals and Snape Proms. He is also an alumnus of the National Musicians Symphony Orchestra and Dartington Festival Orchestra. He currently freelances with orchestras across the UK, and regularly appears as both a cellist and bassist with the Jersey Symphony Orchestra.
Dury also regularly appears in shows and opera orchestras, including recent performances of Jesus Christ Superstar, Crazy for You, Miss Siagon, Cats, The Flying Dutchman, HMS Pinafore, L'Elisir D'Amour, The Beggar's Opera and The Cunning Little Vixen.
